Proposals to make a walk 

The Bletterbach gorge is a many-sided and interesting hiking area. You can find tours suitable for children and more difficult tours for ambitioned hobby geological scientists. Important : always ask for the state in which the paths are in.

From the Bletterbach gorge to the Butterloch

Time to go: about 2.5 hours

Description of the tour: At the visitor centre geoparc  Bletterbach, we go down along the path no.3 to the “Taubenleck”. Through the straight porphyry gorge we follow the river upwards till the big waterfall. The way back to the visitor centre leads along the “Jägersteig” on the right side beneath the waterfall and then you follow the forestall path to the visitor centre.

From Radein, you can start from the Peter Rosegger house beside the church.  Following the path   no. 3 you come out directly at  ”Taubenleck” in the Bletterbach gorge. Going upwards along the river, you reach the waterfall in the “Butterloch” The way back goes along the path to the “Knappenlöcher” and the path no. 3

Time to go : about  3.5 hours

Description of the tour : At the Bletterbach centre you take the forestall street which leads to “Flascherbründl” here you can go down from the top of the waterfall to the “Butterloch” The geo path leads you along the river towards the end of the gorge, the Gorz.

To return  you follow the river till the beginning of the path G, it leads you straight to “Flascherbründl”, from here on you reach the visitor centre, following the forestall street.

From Radein on, you can start from the „Peter Rosegger” house next to the church. The path no.4
Leads along the top of the waterfall, downwards into the “Butterloch” from now on you follow the riverside till the end of the gorge. To come back you follow the river back till the path G it leads you at the left side to Radein.
