Brixen
Yes indeed Brixen is a city, but don´t be afraid – it´s kept within manageable limits. Just park your car somewhere, you won´t need it anymore.
Brixen is since 1.100 years an episcopate city, corresponding of course is the offer on architecture. The centre of the city looks a bit like a big, unique open-air museum.
The dome and the well on the dome place, the cloisters, the 72 meters high white tower, the town hall, the century column and the courtyard- all of them worthwhile having a look at. When you let yourself in on it won´t take long and you will be taken in a world between the centuries. Special, visiting the diocese museum with its baroque facades, the dome treasure, the dome place and the art collection.
In the pharmacological museum you learn everything about medicine, remedies and therapies from those times long ago where you needed a lot of courage to visit a doctor practice. Exactly this courage you will need to visit the museum with torture equipment.
